In a Nintendo Direct on June 21st, 2023, a brand new course to the Mario Kart series was announced for the fifth wave, and, alongside this, three more characters were presented, of which being Petey Piranha, Wiggler, and Kamek. The courses included are: Tour Amsterdam Drift, GBA Riverside Park, Wii DK Summit, Yoshi's Island, Tour Bangkok Rush, DS Mario Circuit, GCN Waluigi Stadium, and Tour Singapore Speedway. It included the Fruit Cup and the Boomerang Cup. The fourth wave was released on March 9th, 2023. Around a month later, on March 2nd, 2023, everything the wave had to offer was announced. The included courses were: Tour London Loop, GBA Boo Lake, 3DS Rock Rock Mountain, Wii Maple Treeway, Tour Berlin Byways, DS Peach Gardens, Merry Mountain, and 3DS Rainbow Road.ĭuring the February 8th, 2023 Nintendo Direct, a new course for the DLC was announced to be coming in the fourth wave, along with the addition of Birdo as a playable character, who, like Yoshi, has nine colored variants. The included cups were the Rock Cup and the Moon Cup. The third wave was released on December 7th, 2022. Later, on November 21st 2022, the full wave was shown off. On September 13th, 2022, two of the eight tracks in the third wave were previewed in a Nintendo Direct. The tracks included were: Tour New York Minute, SNES Mario Circuit 3, N64 Kalimari Desert, DS Waluigi Pinball, Tour Sydney Sprint, GBA Snow Land, Wii Mushroom Gorge, and Sky-High Sundae. It contained the Turnip Cup and the Propeller Cup. The second wave was announced on July 28th, 2022. ![]() It included tracks were: Tour Paris Promenade, 3DS Toad Circuit, N64 Choco Mountain, Wii Coconut Mall, Tour Tokyo Blur, DS Shroom Ridge, GBA Sky Garden, and Ninja Hideaway. It included cups were the Golden Dash Cup and the Lucky Cat Cup. Whilst Mario Kart 9 was rumored for a Nintendo Direct reveal, the announcement of the Booster Course Pass DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was welcomed by many gamers, with 48 new remastered tracks scheduled to be released in six waves of eight tracks. The shortcuts can often be challenging to find, yet enable vital seconds to be saved on lap times and to achieve first place. Since Super Mario Kart was released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), shortcuts have formed part of each track. With the announcement of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC, many players have been excitedly waiting to play remastered courses from the Mario Kart series of games. ![]()
